QUALIFYING FORMAT
Teams of 12 players to represent their club - all events to be handicap (Max 27).
The qualifying rounds for the 2012 event were played at the following venues (see right) on Friday 4th May.
POINTS ALLOCATION:
Points will allocated on the basis of 45 for first, 44 second down to 1 point for 45th place at each venue. The total points scored by the team will determine whether they qualify for the finals.
COUNT BACK:
In the event of a tie on points a count back to determine the qualifying places will be done on the basis of the teams total score in the 4BBB Stableford, if still tied the total for Canadian Foursomes will be used, if still tied the total for 2 Man Ambrose will be used. Any further ties will be determined by comparing the best scores of pairs starting with the 4BBB Stableford.
TROPHIES:
Prizes will be awarded to pairs coming 1st and 2nd at each venue in the qualifying round. A perpetual trophy, to be held by the club for one year, will be awarded to the team winning the final.
Four leading teams will qualify for semi-finals - all finals games to be handicap matchplay
