2012 DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIPS
and THEWLIS BOWL

PLEASE NOTE:
The 2012 District Championships and Thewlis Bowl will be held at The Flinders Golf Club on Sunday 11th March (not as listed on events calendar).

The change has been forced onto us due to a mis-communication of date/venue. Unfortunately, this new date is on a long weekend - so we need players to commit to this new date and make this PDGA PREMIER EVENT a great success.

VICTORIAN JUNIOR
COUNTRY REGIONS CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Golf Victoria Junior Country Regions Championships were held at Heathcote Golf Club in Central Victoria over the weekend of Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th November.

PENINSULA DISTRICT ORDER OF MERIT

The 2011 Peninsula District Order of Merit has been finalised with the completion of the golfing year. The last event was the District Schools Championships (for juniors only) and were played on Monday 19th December at Rosebud Country Club.


The OVERALL WINNER Marino Colombo (Rosebud Country Club) 110 points	The JUNIOR WINNER Mitch Harris (Moonah Links) 92 points

NOTE: Players had to play a minimum of three events during the year to qualify.

2012 JUNIOR PENNANT SEASON

The Junior Pennant season will commence on Sunday 29th January 2012 and go until Sunday 4th March 2012.

2012 PENNANT SEASON

The Pennant season will commence on Sunday 25th March 2012 and go until Sunday 20th May 2012.
The draw will be uploaded soon after venues and tee times have been clarified with clubs concerned.

Finals will be played on Sunday 27th May. The two (2) top teams in each division will qualify to play in the finals.

2011 DISTRICT SCHOOLS CHAMPIONSHIPS

The PDGA golf season ended with the 2011 District Schools Championships event which was held at Rosebud Country Club on Monday 19th December.

The male section (PDGA) was won by Dillon Hobbs (The Dunes) over Mitch Harris (Moonah Links). The female section (MPDWG) was a tight battle between Kim Kennedy (Warburton) and Kirsten Horne (The Dunes) who finished on 87 gross/nett 71 with Kim eventually winning on a count back.
